  • The corresponding author is marked with an asterisk and must provide an active email address. Authors are encouraged to provide an ORCID iD in OJS.
  • Authorship. Only persons who made a substantive contribution to the concept, data collection or analysis, and writing, and who approve the final manuscript, should be listed as authors.

Structured Abstract

QAWIY AMIN uses a structured abstract. Each label should be followed by one to three sentences. The abstract is written as one block without citations, undefined abbreviations, or references to tables. The English abstract must be equivalent to the Indonesian abstract.

Practical implications: Foundations should incorporate transformational-leadership development into professional development for madrasah principals.

Originality/value: The study examines Islamic organizational culture as a moderating variable, which has received limited attention in private madrasah settings.

Keywords: transformational leadership; organizational commitment; organizational culture; private madrasah

Article Structure

  1. INTRODUCTION: managerial problem in the institution, supporting data, research gap, and objective.
  2. THEORETICAL REVIEW AND CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK: management theory, relevant Islamic values, and a conceptual-framework figure. Quantitative studies state hypotheses here.
  3. RESEARCH METHOD: design, institution or location, population/sample or informants, instruments, and data analysis.
  4. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: findings by subtopic together with interpretation.
  5. MANAGERIAL IMPLICATIONS: concrete recommendations for madrasah principals, pesantren leaders, foundations, or relevant authorities.
  6. CONCLUSION: answer to the research objective, limitations, and recommendations for future research.
  7. AUTHOR STATEMENTS: contributions, funding, conflicts of interest, and generative-AI use.
  8. REFERENCES.

Guidance for Each Section

  • Introduction. Begin with a real managerial problem rather than a definition of management. Provide supporting data, show what previous studies have addressed and what remains unresolved, and end with a clear research objective.
  • Theoretical Review and Conceptual Framework. Select theories actually used to analyse the data. Relate general management theory to relevant Islamic management concepts such as amanah, shura, 'adl, and itqan. Quantitative studies formulate numbered hypotheses (H1, H2, ...).
  • Research Method. Provide enough detail for replication. Quantitative studies should report population, sampling, instruments and indicators, validity and reliability, and analysis. Qualitative studies should report the researcher's role, setting and duration, informants and selection rationale, data collection, analysis, and trustworthiness. Policy studies identify policy documents and stakeholders. Systematic reviews report databases, keywords, years, inclusion criteria, and a PRISMA diagram.
  • Results and Discussion. Present findings by objective or hypothesis and interpret them in relation to theory and prior studies. Discuss every table and figure in the text.
  • Managerial Implications. Provide concrete, evidence-based recommendations directed to specific stakeholders; avoid generic advice.
  • Conclusion. Answer the objective narratively without repeating statistical results. State limitations and future research directions.
