Editorial Policies
Section Policies
All submissions must fall within the journal's focus and scope and comply with the Author Guidelines, reporting standards, and article template. Manuscripts must be original, academically accountable, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.
The editorial team conducts an initial screening for scope, structure, health-research ethics, reporting completeness, technical format, and similarity. Manuscripts may be returned before external review if they are outside scope, incomplete, ethically unsuitable, technically deficient, or clearly below the journal's minimum scholarly standard.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise for peer review. A statistical reviewer may be involved where needed. Reviewers assess originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, clinical or public-health relevance, validity of analysis, and suitability for publication.
Editorial decisions may be: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected. Revised manuscripts are normally expected within two weeks unless another deadline is stated by the editor.
Open Access Policy
AL-WIQAYAH provides immediate open access to its published content to support broad access to health-science knowledge. Readers may access published articles without subscription charges.
Reuse of published content is governed by the journal's Creative Commons license and requires proper attribution and compliance with the applicable license terms.

AL-WIQAYAH follows recognized scholarly publishing ethics consistent with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication or falsification of data, manipulation of images or laboratory findings, breaches of patient confidentiality, inappropriate authorship, or citation manipulation.
Plagiarism and Similarity Policy
All submitted manuscripts are subject to similarity screening. The maximum working similarity threshold is 20%. Editors may reject a manuscript for inappropriate reuse, unattributed paraphrasing, duplicate publication, fabricated references, or other misuse of sources even when the numerical score is below this threshold.
Article Submission Charges
AL-WIQAYAH does not charge an article submission fee or peer-review fee. Article submission charge: IDR 0.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
An Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 100,000 is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. No payment guarantees acceptance. Editorial and peer-review decisions are independent of payment.
