Illustrative structured abstract (format example, not real data):
Background: Anemia among adolescent girls can affect learning concentration and reproductive health. This study analysed factors associated with anemia among female pesantren students.
Methods: A cross-sectional study involved 210 female students aged 12–18 years from three pesantren. Hemoglobin was measured using a hemoglobinometer, iron intake was assessed by two 24-hour food recalls, and data were analysed using logistic regression.
Results: Anemia prevalence was 34.3%. Low iron intake (OR = 2.8; 95% CI 1.5–5.2) and eating twice daily (OR = 2.1; 95% CI 1.1–4.0) were associated with anemia.
Conclusion: Iron-supplementation programs and improvement of pesantren meal planning should be prioritised.
Keywords: anemia; adolescent; iron intake; pesantren
