The English abstract must be equivalent to the Indonesian abstract. Keywords should use recognized psychological terminology and should not merely repeat words from the title.

Article Structure

MUTMAINNAH follows the IMRaD pattern and APA 7 heading levels, as shown in the template.

  3. Results: findings reported in sequence according to hypotheses or research questions, without interpretive discussion.
  4. Discussion: interpretation of findings, comparison with previous studies, integration with Islamic psychology, limitations, and implications.
  5. Conclusion: one or two narrative paragraphs answering the objective and hypothesis without repeating statistical values.

  • Qualitative studies: report the approach, participant criteria, interview guide, researcher position, analysis procedure, and trustworthiness strategies.
  • Clinical case studies: use pseudonymous identity and report case history, assessment, intervention, evaluation, and client consent.
  • Instrument-development studies: report item development, content validity (for example Aiken's V), factor analysis, reliability, and norms where relevant.

Ethical approvalIntervention studies, clinical populations, or sensitive topics should report ethics approval where required. If formal approval was not obtained, explain the reason.
ConfidentialityParticipant identity must be protected, especially in clinical and counseling case studies.

  • Translated or adapted instruments should explain the adaptation process, such as forward-backward translation.
  • Licensed instruments require appropriate permission for use.

Integration of Islamic Psychology

  • Islamic concepts should be discussed substantively from primary sources such as the Qur'an, authentic hadith, and relevant classical works, rather than added merely as decorative opening material.
  • Qur'anic verses and hadith are reproduced accurately, translated, and cited appropriately.
  • Arabic terms not standardized in Indonesian are italicized and transliterated consistently using the Indonesian joint-ministerial transliteration system.
  • Where relevant, the Discussion includes a subsection on integration of the findings with an Islamic psychology perspective.
