Publication Ethics

JCJERS is committed to integrity at every stage of publication. Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to understand and carry out the following responsibilities.

Authors' responsibilities

  • Submit original work that has not been published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Report data and methods honestly and accurately, without fabrication, falsification, or image manipulation.
  • Cite every source used and obtain permission for copyrighted material.
  • List as authors only people who made a substantial contribution, and agree on the final version together.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest, funding sources, and any use of generative AI.
  • Inform the editor promptly of any significant error found in a published article.

Editors' responsibilities

  • Evaluate manuscripts on their scholarly content, regardless of the authors' race, gender, religion, nationality, affiliation, or political views.
  • Keep manuscripts and the identities of the parties confidential throughout double-blind review.
  • Step aside from manuscripts that present a conflict of interest and pass them to another editor.
  • Base decisions on the reviews and the journal's policies; decisions are never influenced by payment for any service.
  • Handle suspected misconduct fairly and keep a record of the process.

Reviewers' responsibilities

  • Review objectively, on time, and with clearly argued comments.
  • Keep manuscripts confidential and never use their content for personal advantage.
  • Decline an invitation when there is a conflict of interest or the topic is outside their expertise.
  • Report suspected plagiarism, questionable data, or duplicate publication to the editor.

Plagiarism

All manuscripts are checked for similarity before review. Plagiarism in any form, including copying without citation, paraphrasing without attribution, and self-plagiarism, leads to rejection. If found after publication, the article is handled under the retraction policy.

Duplicate publication

Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal, or republishing the same results without disclosure, is not permitted.

Conflicts of interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose financial, personal, or institutional relationships that could influence their judgement. The paid services of Cendekia Jurnal Hub, such as training or mentoring, have no influence on editorial decisions.

Research ethics

Research involving humans or animals must have appropriate ethical approval, participant consent, and protection of personal data. Editors may ask for evidence of these approvals.

Corrections

Errors that do not change the conclusions are corrected through a correction notice linked to the original article.

Retractions

An article is retracted when it is shown to contain serious errors, unreliable data, plagiarism, or duplicate publication. It remains accessible, marked RETRACTED, with a notice explaining why.

Handling misconduct

Suspected misconduct can be reported to the editorial office through the Contact page. The editor reviews the evidence, asks the parties involved for an explanation, and then decides on the action: clarification, correction, rejection, retraction, or notification of the authors' institution where necessary.
