Editorial Policies

Section Policies

All submissions must fall within the journal's focus and scope and comply with the Author Guidelines and article template. Manuscripts must be original, academically accountable, not previously published, and not under consideration by another journal.

The editorial team conducts an initial screening for scope, structure, methodological suitability, data transparency, technical format, and similarity. Manuscripts may be returned before external review if they are outside scope, incomplete, technically unsuitable, or clearly below the journal's minimum scholarly standard.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass editorial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise for peer review. Reviewers assess originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, quality of data and analysis, relevance to Islamic economics and business, engagement with relevant regulations and primary Islamic sources where applicable, and suitability for publication.

Editorial decisions may be: accepted, minor revision, major revision, or rejected. Revised manuscripts are normally expected within two weeks unless another deadline is stated by the editor.
